Some big names from different countries have already been roped in for playing in the PSL. Players including the likes of Chris Gayle, Kevin Pieterson, Lasith Malinga, Brad Haddin along with big names from Pakistan cricket like Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammed Hafeez have already been confirmed for the tournament.
All matches will be played at two grounds – Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium as announced by the PCB.
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium, earlier known as the Dubai Sports Cricket Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Dubai, UAE. It is mainly used for cricket and is one of only three stadiums in the country. It is part of the Dubai Sports City in Dubai and has a seating capacity of 25,000 spectators but is expandable to 30,000 spectators.
The Dubai International Stadium is lit by a special system of floodlights named ‘Ring of Fire’ where the lights are fixed around the circumference of the round roof of the stadium which minimizes the shadow of objects on the ground. It has 350 numbers of floodlights attached in series.
It includes VIP and VVIP sections with indoor box and outdoor terrace seating, a Members’ Club seating area and press facilities for nearly 100 members of the media.
The Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium is in the emirate of Sharjah in UAE. It initially started with a few limited seats and very modest facilities but by 2002 it had a seating capacity of 27,000 spectators. It is also capable of hosting day-night encounters because of its excellent floodlights.
The seating in the stadium includes Chairman Suite, Corporate Hospitality box, 12 seater box, eight seater box, 16 seater box, seven seater box, diamond box and a media box.
The stadium also holds the record for hosting the most number of one-day international matches. It is currently being used as the home ground for the Afghanistan cricket team for One-Day International and First-Class matches.

Quetta Gladiators Team 2016 Players List: PSL QG Team Squad

Quetta Gladiators 2016
PSL Quetta team players list is placed here. The Quetta Gladiators are representatives of the Quetta province in the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Super League. The Quetta franchise that represents the Balochistan province has been bought by Omar Associates for $1.1 million (USD). There were not a lot of bids placed for this franchise which meant that Omar Associates were able to walk away with 10-year rights to the franchise for less money compared to the four other franchises.
Quetta Gladiators have already appointed their coaching staff ahead of the player auctions. Former Pakistan wicket-keeper Moin Khan has been appointed the head coach while Ian Pont and Julien Fountain appointed as the assistant coach and the fielding coach respectively.
The side have done quite well in the PSL player draft held on December 21 and 22. They will be skippered by Sarfraz Khan, who has broken into the Pakistan national team and has done well in recent matches for the side.
Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Umar Gul, Zulfiqar Babar, Bilal Asif, and Asad Shafiq complete the list of full Pakistan internationals who have been included in the side. Gul has been a fading force off late but his experience with the ball is likely to come in handy. Shehzad and Shafiq are in their primes and are likely to be very important players for this franchise.
Mohammad Nawaz, Saad Nasim, Akbar ur Rehman, Bismillah Khan, Aizaz Cheema, and Ramiz Raja jr. are the emerging cricketers from Pakistan who have been afforded an opportunity with this team.
Kumar Sangakkara and Kevin Pietersen are the two big names that have been picked up by this team as well. Both batsmen will be available for the entire duration of the tournament. While Sangakkara is retired, Pietersen was sacked by the ECB last summer and has featured prominently in T20 leagues thereafter. Jason Holder, Luke Wright, Elton Chigumbura, and Mohammad Nabi complete their international players list. Quetta PSL team players list is placed below.

Although the selected team seems a bit weak but emerging players might be a surprise package especially in the presence and motivations of the Icon players like KP and Sanga. l am sure, Their bowling unit consists of a trica pace attack of Holder, Anwar Ali and Gul dozer along with top class spinners, will be a strong zone for Gladiators

Peshawar Zalmi Team 2016 Players List: PSL PZ Team Squad

Peshawar Zalmi Team 2016 Players List: PSL PZ Team Squad

Peshawar Zalmi 2016
PSL Peshawar team players list is placed here. All the attention now turns to the player draft of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is all set for its inaugural edition with the first match slated for February 4, 2016 and the final set to be played on February 24, 2016.
The Peshawar Zalmi side were acquired by the Haier group for $1.6 million US dollars. They have put in place some very talented individuals in their coaching staff. Pakistan’s world cup winning skipper Imran Khan returns as a mentor while Mohammad Akram has been named as head coach. Andy Flower will be the batting coach with South African Grant Luden taking the mantle of fielding coach.
Peshawar will be skippered by Pakistan T20 international captain Shahid Afridi. The man is known to be one of the biggest hitters of the cricket world and commands respect from his peers. However, his inconsistency with the bat could be a bit of an issue. Afridi’s skills as a leg-spinner might prove to be very useful with the tournament set to be played in the UAE.
Current internationals Wahab Riaz, Kamral Akmal, Mohammad Hafeez and Junaid Khan are also part of the side besides a whole host of youngsters. Riaz has been Pakistan’s best fast bowler for a while now whereas Hafeez’s quality as an opening batsman is never in doubt. Similarly, Akmal can be a very potent batsman in the middle-order and is known to be more than a handful behind the wickets.
In Darren Sammy, they have recruited one of West Indies’ best cricketers. After all, he led them to their first World T20 title in Sri Lanka and comes with the reputation of being a big hitter lower down the order. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has also been picked but their best pick has been veteran Australian batsman Brad Hodge.
Although retired from international cricket, Hodge has shown plenty of appetite to succeed in the T20 leagues across the world. He is currently starring for his side in the Australian Big Bash League and will be crucial for the Peshawar Zalmis in the PSL next year. Peshawar PSL team players list is placed below.

Although team selected from domestic players is looking balanced but players selected from abroad are not having an attractive profiles in my opinion and this would might be a big issue in such a big contest.

Anyway, my support and good wishes will always be with the skipper. Best of luck Lala.
